Does anyone have any comparison pictures of the solitaire and the solo? I have a couple solo's, and am wondering how the solitaire's compare.

I don't. But the Solitaire is made in the USA and the Solo is made in China. I love the Solitaire, as do many, here.

Apples and Oranges. The Solitaire is a single blade, same as the 301 Stockman, 420HC steel. The Solo is much smaller, made in China, same size blade as a 309, probably 420J2 steel.

One of the reasons I was curious about the solitaire is because of it being made in the USA. Seems like it is significantly bigger than the solo though, which is a shame as I prefer the smaller size.

I have the Solo and the Trio. Gritty open and close, lower end edgeholding, spey blade on the Trio is hard to open. Not impressive but OK for the price.

Here is the requested comparison photo.

The 302 Solitaire is a great knife. I carry one every day. It's my current favorite. The handle is long enough for all four fingers. The blade is a shorter than the frame as it's the main blade of a 301, but it's perfect. It's just right for so many daily jobs.

The 302 Solitaire is longer. But, it is very slim. It disappears in a pocket. It also has better steel than the Solo. I have 2 Solitaires and will probably buy more. I've been using one all day.

Thanks, BuckShack and DocT, I just ordered one...in rosewood. Been contemplating it for some time now and you guys just convinced me I need not wait any longer:). Preston
