Hello all,

I'd like to share a knife that I make, really it is my first "model" I've been doing as everything else I have made is of the "one-off" variety (I seem to have a hard time quiteing the voices that insist that I keep experimenting with new shapes, etc...) Anyhow, it is called the Soloist. This is number 4 in the series so far.

Specs:
6.75"OAL, 2.75" tip-to-plunge, 1.0625" at tallest
1095 steel @.125" thick full flat grind with convexed edge.
scales: orange G10 with stainless pins
sheath: 7oz natural veg. tanned leather with sewn/riveted belt loop. leather treated with neatsfoot oil. sheath pocket is made symmetrically so it can be re-wet-formed for left-hand carry (I've gotta try and take care of other southpaws ;) )

Thanks for looking

It's a VERY nice blade, I have one. What other models do you plan on making? Thanks Mike

Solid, great looking design. The sheath also looks bomb proof. That's a great package.

Thanks for the comments guys.

e-7mike: I'm glad you enjoy your knife. Thank you. I've got a few more to finish on the bench now, but I'll have some new models around the bend soon (I hope). I try to play around with a few protos and tweak things before I "release" a knife. So, I'd rather not get too ahead of myself in concretizing what they will be at this point, but I am looking into a bit larger general field/hiking/camping blade, and maybe a more specialized blade for bird/small game hunters (my passion is in the fowl). Alas, time in the shop, I find, is a precious commodity as of late!

Very nice knife, and I really like your sheath design--well done!
