Solutions for removing a tight pivot screw?!?

Purchased a Brand New Umnumzaan (Born On: December 23, 2014). Like every new CRK, I always disassemble to remove the lanyard post and clean the knife. The disassembly was going smoothly, however the female pivot screw appears to be almost press-fit into the lockside scale. I can't remove it.
- I've tried applying some lubricant, no luck.
- Placed scale and pivot screw in some hot water, in case it was due to some debris or loctite...no luck.

Upon inspection, the showside milling appears to be rather rough as well.

Any other suggestions? Anyone else ever encounter this?

Put all the parts in a baggie, send it to CRK. Better to be without it for a couple of weeks than messing something up and having to pay for it.
And no, I've never seen an issue like that. It definitely looks askew. I've had a 25 that was a booger to take apart, but no rough milling on any I've ever taken apart.

Lay it flat on a hard table, press down hard around the pivot, so the table is pushing the pivot pin. Should come out.

There is absolutely zero give to the pivot, it simply won't budge.

I've contacted KSF to see what is their protocol in situations like this.

Well...it *will* come out, but if you're having trouble, best to send it out. I'm sure Derrick or CRK will square you away.

I informed KSF of the issue and they suggested I reach out to CRK to notify them of the issue as a primary step.

I elected to just fill out the form and just send it to CRK for a warranty service.

That's gotta be frustrating. Hope it works out.
I've had really tight bushings on a 21 to the point I had to smack it against the table to get it to budge. I'm not suggesting that as an alternative, just sympathizing.

Looks like the female side of the pivot was swedged or flared..perhaps with the male side. I'm sure there is a joke in there somewhere.
The clearance between the scale and the pivot isn't much at all, but not something that would be easy for a casual user to do..
