The Solvang Show is just around the corner, on April 28th. Here are a couple that Curt will be bringing. Sorry, but cannot show any of the art daggers, because no one will know what they look like (including me, darn it!) until the show. First knife:

Gentlemen’s Fighter: Overall length 10". Blade is 5" long and double ground from 440C stainless steel. Curve-fitted bolsters of 416 stainless. Handle is some absolutely gorgeous black buffalo horn with white flecking and carved thong hole. Fully engraved, carved and 24kt gold inlay by Master Julie Warenski-Erickson. A brand new style from Curt:

Classic Boot Knife: Loveless style blade grind, 4" blade of 440-C stainless, 8" overall. Curve-fitted bolsters of 416 stainless. Handle is bark mastodon ivory with outstanding color, full tapered tang and thong hole. Fully engraved and 24kt gold inlay by Master Julie Warenski-Erickson:

What I really like about each of these two is the 24k gold basketweave and the 24k gold beading. It's one of the treatments Julie uses, when engraving, that is a favorite of mine.

Very good looking, especially the top one. I think Buff horn really looks good when it has the light color streaks in it and highly polished.
Never had a knife with it though.

Two beauties, no doubt about that!!

Actually, Bob, I have seen at least one knife of similar design
made some years ago by Curt and engraved by Julie....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Hi David,

It may perhaps look a bit like another knife from Curt's past productions, but he was quite specific that this is a new model for him, this one being the first of the new model.

Best,

Bob

Damn, I love that Gentleman's Fighter! I agree with Bob about the basket weave and Gold beads, easily identified as Julie's. Personally, I'm not a fan of this Buffalo Horn, I think I'd rather have Ivory or Stag or polished Big Horn Sheep. HMMM, polished sheephorn.
