Nothin to look at here, keep it movin, just some Beckers out & about. Helping each other out, as a family should & even helping out some non-family members. Good stuff, at least IMHO anyways.

So, first up was the BK9, doing what it loves. But then it got stuck, but good. So the BK2 jumped in to help. Success was theirs.

Then the BK10LE got in on the action.

Then the BK7 took it's turn. But because it is always out shadowed by its big brother, it jumped in again............

But this time, it got in over its head. This sucker got stuck, bigtime. I could not even move it no matter how i batoned it---even on the extended tang. So the little brother BK2 jumped in to help.

This is what happens when family works together........ They get shit done !!!! Success was theirs when teamwork was used.

So here, we have the BK9 & BK2 both stuck. Then the BK10LE jumped in, but had to be batoned from the extended tang, so it would go straight in to the knot. Again, success was theirs when they all worked together.

Handles needed a little tightening up after all that use/abuse.

Then there is the random bacon pic in the "epic pan" for Captain Airica, LOL :D I tried something totally different here. I used an old baking sheet pan under some disposable roasting pans, put some charcoal in a "chimney", then into the pan on the pan, on top of a few cement squares. This set-up fits perfect underneath my folding grill & was devised in case of a fire ban was in effect. (open fires are banned now, but campfires are not---yet) WORKS GREAT !!! That is a full pound of bacon. I have 5 more pounds !!! BACON-BEER & BLADES !!!!!

Here is the outcast of the group. Yup, an Ontario SP Kukri (or KLO for those HI fans !, LOL). It actually worked surprisingly well.........until, it too got stuck but good.

Yeah buddy, stuck good. But when there are so many Becker family members around, you just KNOW one was bound to jump in & help out.

Enter the BK2. This was no easy task let me tell you. Precision work was in order here, to be sure.

Blades were VERY close together.

100_1502.jpg

Persistence & teamwork paid off again, even though it was delicate work, Beckers came through again.

100_1503.jpg

SUCCESS !!!

The aftermath & some of the fallen !!! :D

Disclaimers: This was NOT a wilderness bushcraft hiking trip, sorry. Just a camping trip at Letchworth State Park. Sorry, this is what we do. Many will say this is abuse of the blades, i say it is my use if the blades, this is what i do & why i love Becker Blades so much, because they can take what i dish out. :D LOl

The BK2 is always ready for a challenge.

Where did you find that wood, Satan's forest?

LOL ! Free wood is----well, free, which is always good in my book. Yeah, it is the hardest & most twisted & knotty pine i have ever seen in my life.

I like how everytime a knife became stuck, you saved it with a BK2.

All the other Beckers are great knives. True, the King really is the King... but the BK2 is the silent hero of the masses.

very cool thread. great pics. thanks for sharing. btw, that pan is the BK9 of cookware!

X2...the bk2 is an underdog from hell! It rises up to any challenge and leaves victorious!

The BK2 works so well at splitting because it is 1/4" thick. You can beat on it until your arm gets tired with no worries. If BK&T would design a big brother to the BK2, say a 10" 1/4" sabre ground one, that would be the new Mac daddy of splitting knives. I'm just sayin'. :D
