Last week when I meet up with David and Leesa Martin, I gave my smooth buffalo Kalinga to Leesa to take home with her. This will be the first (I believe) black handled knife that Leesa has taken on for scrimshaw work and I can't wait to see how it comes out.

Here's a picture of the Kalinga and below that, a preliminary sketch from Leesa. It's hard to be patient, but the wait has always been worth while!

Plumber, She's stoked about this project. She won't even let me see it until she's done. DM ;(

That is going to be awesome!
A friend of mine that hunts Cape Buffalo says that they look at you like you owe them money!

This Kalinga should be unique with the white on black. I also sent a bone handled 112 home with her, which I think I'm just going to say "surprise me" about, and let her own ideas and creativity take over.

A cape buffalo is supposed to be one of the meanest animals on the planet. I'm anxious to see the "after" pictures. It should be awsome.
