a Pacific Salt, but with a VG-10 blade. i really like the sheepfoot-esque blade tip and the serrations at the back of the hole... it would be perfect in VG-10, since it's so close to the Endura. i guess you couldn't really call it the Salt anymore, but whatever. i know it would sell.
i'd also like to see some runs in "neon" or fluorescent colors, my favorite being fluor. lime/yellow, or even a green or pink (as mentioned in the "pink Delica" thread elsewhere). they don't necessarily have to be rescue knives (in fact, that'd be limiting), some people just want a knife that's easy to spot "in the wild".
as a surveyor, i use a knife all the time, everyday. i have lost knives on the job before (construction sites, sometimes before they're started, so we're talking wild country-side), and it really stinks having to crawl around on your hands and knees looking for it. (before some of you call me careless, consider that sometimes we "chainmen" are squeezing thru thick bushes/trees/brambles etc., and a relatively secure knife can be snagged and pulled off your person easily.)
the few i've lost have been found later, but you can't be lucky forever, and i know knife knuts who have lost a knife for good, simply because they couldn't see it -- dropped in the weeds, in the leaves, lost at the edge of the lake when they're fly-fishing in waders. this would be an asset to those who work at night too, where even with a flashlight, a dull-handled knife can be a chore, if not an outright impossibility, to find. a super-bright Delica or Endura, or even Native would be outstanding. think of all the knives you'll save!!
i can live without my VG-10 Salt idea (i guess...
), but i think the fluor. knife idea deserves some thought. hey, you could even name it the "Surveyor Edition" after myself!
perhaps this has been done before, idk... but if so, it deserves redoing! might even make knives look nicer to NKP.
