Just taking some photos of my knives....It keeps me away from the marketplace which is a good thing.
Decided to take a photo of 3 distinct eras of knives.
Oldest "P" on bottom around 1993-94
My newer one in the middle, this one is 2009
Can't recall the name of the top one at the moment, but it falls between the timeline of the newest/oldest. Year 2002.

The raindrop damascus on that large Regular is very nice indeed.

The bubble wrap damascus on top has to be one of my favorite types of damascus

Oh boy Lisa. Now you've done it. That one photo of your's is going to cost me!!
The hunt for more Damascus Sebenza's begins!

BTW, is that top one raindrop or bubble wrap damascus? Looks different from my raindrops...kind of more crooked. Looks really nice though!

I actually don't know if mine is raindrop or bubble wrap...didn't receive a card with it, so I'm unsure.

heh there's something about damascus sebenza's and their cards going missing...my damascus seb didn't come with a card either.

Here's Raindrop:

and here's Bubble wrap:

They look very similar but my vote goes to Bubble wrap. Raindrop seems to have a more linear pattern. Just my guess though.

Mine doesn't quite look like either exactly:

I'm inclined to say that it is Bubblewrap, because the Raindrop pattern is usually more orderly. Can't be certain, though, because the Bubblewrap pattern typically has larger circles, while this seems to have both large and small "droplets" in a more random arrangement. I'll keep my eyes open to see what's out there.

I don't know if it's a "grass is greener on the other side" thing, but your damascus seems so much more contrasty than mine. Do you know if your damascus is stainless?

I think my camera settings made it look more contrasty.
I actually don't know if it's stainless or not.
I must have the mystery design/composition blade and that makes it a one-off right? :D

hahaha...that would be a sweet deal wouldn't it? :p
Either way it's a beautiful knife...and a regular to boot! I've got a regular in transit. It'll be my first regular Seb...I'll see if I like it more than my 21 and Classic as so many people do.

Cant wait to finally get my raindrop and actually get to see the damascus up close. Not sure what month wait Im on but it should be close..... i hope :P

As much as I'd like a Damascus, I'll hold out for the Insingo blade profile.
Does anyone know how easy / hard it would be to get Devin Thomas to
make a unique Damascus blade?

My understanding is that CRK gets bars of damascus steel from Devin Thomas and makes the blades from them. The best way to find out if you can get a damascus Insigno blade would be to contact Heather. I don`t see why you wouldn`t be able to, although you would probably have to wait a few months. Last I checked, the wait for damascus was 9 months. That has probably changed by now though.
