Ol Danbo got ahold of me about 3 or 4 weeks ago and offered some table space at the Gateway knifeshow. This is the first knifeshow I'll be "working," and I worked hard to get these few done for it and still work on orders. Anyway, sorry for the bad pics, I shot them off in a hurry this morning as I was heading out the door to work (still rushing around to get things done this morning ;) ). You can't see the hamon on some of them, but they're there. :D

Thanks for looking --

I've always admired your work Michael. Looking forward to seeing these bad boys in person, even if you are sharing a table with Dan ;)

man those are nice. Any shots of the back of the sheaths?
Nice work...they will sell for sure ;)

Wow! Looks like you have been busy. They are really nice and the cord wrap looks great. Looks like the wrap can be time consuming.

Very nice, Mikey. I'm guessing you'll not be taking many(if any) of those home.

Michael, those all look superb! Depending on your prices, you should be walking home empty-handed (except for wads of cash, that is)! I suspect you'll be getting some orders out of it, too. Man! Your "black & tan" wrap worked out a lot better with that Wal-Mart string than mine did with the hemp twine. Way to go!

I admire your work ethic. People don't realize (unless they are makers!) how much time this little "collection" represents. What steel/quench are you useing for these??

regards. mitch

I believe most, if not all of these are either W2 or 1095. Quenched in the good stuff; Parks 50.

Thanks fellows :)

I use a lot of different stuff, but mainly Parks 50 like D-day said. I've been doing a lot of experimenting and keeping a log with AAA, water, and the Parks with different time sequences, etc. It's fun to experiment. :D

Dangit Mike, quit makin' 'em look so purty!! That black & tan one (middle one in three-knife pic) looks just sweet! None of those puppies should be comin' home with you at show's end, unless everybody else at the show is blind.

I especially like the top one in the second pic, what's that under the wrap? I can't tell if it's some sort of polished stone or really smooth wood.
