Some blades from Phil Hartsfield Jr

Many here know that I have a deep love and appreciation for the late great Phill Hartsfield.

Phill and Pat were kind to me in my youth when I could only dream of acquiring one of his blades.

Over the years We became good friends and I have collected a very nice amount of his work.

Till this day the swords made by Phill are the finest cutting swords that I have ever used.

He had a way with A 2 that no one has ever seemed to duplicate ....... With that said I would like to show you some of Phil Jr's work. I there is one man that can duplicate the magic it of course would be his son.

When my youngest daughter was born I had Phill senior make me a Katana. I have 3.

I believe it was one of the last Katanas that Phill senior did. At that time he told be in a very proud way that he could not tell his work from his sons anymore. That in itself is a wonderful endorsement and I know he was very proud that his son was carrying on his legacy.

I am happy to say that Phill Jr has sent me some pics of some recent work and I wanted to post them here.

Joe- I had 4 blades from Phill but sold them. Dang.
I recently emailed Phill Jr. and am waiting to hear back from him.

Phil really needs to invest in a better camera.

It is good he is running the shop. I am going to have to stop by and see his new store.
