Some Busse "trash"...

Andy, I hope you will have time to do a comparison of the TRASH and the ASH...also what do you think of the weight difference?
Thanks

Dibs on their firstborn :)

All being well I will have my BG-ASH in hand on Tuesday. :)

Very nice. I'm reminded of a country song:
'Yeah, I like my women just a little on the trashy side... where their knives are sharp with res-c that's dyed' or at least I think that's how it goes in this instance.

Ya how do you like the feel? I love the Ash an am curious how the Trash feels in comparison??

I have a trash and it's great for the price but I thought I would love it more. My experience with res c is limited to the b4 handle and regulator handle. I'm not getting rid of it yet, I'm giving it time to grow on me but curious as to others thoughts.

So far my impression on the trash is that it is ASHy but very different. What I am most happy about is the edge on this knife is by far the sharpest Busse Kin from the factory I've received with the sharpest Busse being an older full flat ground Hell Razor that is a straight up razor. I have mixed emotions right now but I am thankful this actually came sharp. Nice job on the edge Denny!

.... this pretty much sums it up as well. This is not simply an ASH1 with ResC. It shares a common blade shape and general geometry with the ASH (the family line IS clear). As it has the blade shape I love so much it is clear that I am going to be very fond of this knife. But for me, my love of the ASH is also about the handle and clearly the TRASH differs significantly to the ASH. If you love ResC then there is much to love about this blade. As noted, mine too are the sharpest blades I have received from The Yard, Denny is also responsible for this, good job mate !!

Visually I would have loved the choil/ricasso to have been about 30% smaller. It just looks a little long to my eye, that said I can't see it really impeding on the usability of this blade. I do LOVE the thickness of this blade. The BGASH/TRASH tells me I need to implore the CS to make me a .25 ASH1 in INFI in the future... ;)

The TRASH will not replace any of my ASH1s (I am sure no one here thought that it would). It is however great knife in its own right, I think it will suffer a little from expectations and comparisons to the ASH1, this is undeserved I think. Would I choose this as my one and only "ASH like" blade, nope. Would I be heartbroken if the world had turned on it's head and all hell broken loose, that this was the blade I was left with, not at all.

Andy

Congrats. Like mine, haven't got a chance to use it yet. Still deciding on a sheath. Would a Spec ops fit or would the Trash be too thick for it?
