I can't see the pictures either. It's a shame because I like the fact that this is a truly international forum.

i'm fine ,thanks,nowadays i have been busying in work,i just got my Busse assault shaker.5 days later,i'll get my satin jack CG,i'll post the pics in the bladeforums,how about u in these days,maximus otter?
the latter pics come form the Jangshu province blade loves' party,they show their collections and then kill the goat using their knives,they cut the goat throat by strider D9,they all say D9 is the extremely hard use and very edged knife.

Those are some nice knives. I don't understand the goat killing at a knife collecting party, but it sounds like fun.

I just wouldn't let Bastid see that pic, he might take it personally.

Lachine, what are you and your fellow comrades trying to prove by cutting the goat's throat??? That your knives are sharp enough to do so?? To indulge in the delusion of your hunting-cum-slaughtering skill?

It's disturbing!

How did you think that your beef/pork/chicken/fish came from? It's gotta be slaughtered somehow. And if you're vegetarian, you're just as bad because you're still slaughtering living plants?
Probably those folks were going to eat the goat anyways, so they might as well slaughter it using their knives. You might get your food in a supermarket sans blood, but there are other people around the world who either have to do the work themselves (both raising and preparing it) or they don't even have that as their luxury and starve.
It sure is disturbing for all of us here because someone has to do that "disturbing" act with some blade on a living thing to feed us.

I'm a vegetarian, and I have no problem with the pictures of the goat slaughter. That's what happens. People have to eat.

it is better they kill the animal first.


This is a forum about knives......knives help bring us our food. If one can't deal with that they have some serious reality issues to accept.

Different cultures have different ways.

In Afganistan, they play a game that sort of resembles polo except instead of hitting a ball around, they drag a dead animal (usually a sheep or goat) around. That's just the way they party.

Different strokes for different folks, as the old saying goes.

I, for one, am glad to see our friend lachine return to the forum. I enjoy his contributions from a different culture. And I'm glad to see a group of knife knuts getting together for a party.

If you go to an American slaughterhouse, you'll find that there's a person who's job it is to do that "disturbing act" thousand of times per day. They typically use a sort of spring-loaded hammer on the animal's head.
 
sadly,i dare not to post more pics,because sb in the pics chided me of putting this cruel pics into the website that the foreign would mistake we Chinese! actually,we only killed goat for blade party.:(
