You may have seen Sydney got smacked by a 1/100 weather event for most of last week, lots of flooding, trees down, power out etc etc. We escape with minimal damage and a little bit of water in the garage etc.

I did however have some tree branches and junk that the huge ironbark in the front yard spat out, including a large branch that too the neighbour's power (still off poor buggers).

Decided to grab one of the 1311s and go knock the new off it for fun...!!!!

Can say that I way in anyway disappointed (I knew that from the other user I have) ....

Andy, I'm glad you did not have any worse damage; big storms can be devastating. Extended power outages are no fun either. Take care!

....yes we were very lucky, 4 deaths (at least) a number of homes lost completely, 1000s flooded to one degree or another. Started Wed with over 200,000 homes without power, still maybe 50,000 without but they are getting through them quick now. Folks across the street took a tree in the carport but that was about the worst of it just around me.

That was all done with the factory edge, once I cleaned the crud off the blade I gave it five mins on a crappy paddle strop I keep in the garage, the bloody thing is shaving sharp !!!

Noice! (That's Aussie (which means Australian) for "nice"!)
Andy, if you need anymore lessons in Aussie dialect, I am here for you brother! I am a master dialectician.

Hard to believe you say? Just look at the great work I've done with Rob Stanley! I've helped him to nearly eliminate his native Brooklyn accent. There are some folks, maybe even a few on this forum, who actually believe that he's from Australia! I could help you to do the same.

Lets drink!

Jerry

Nice to see you had some fun Andy! :D

Hope that the today's storm didn't cause any damage in your area.

..... yeah, it is how to make a morning's work a bit fun.... none of the locals even gave me a second look swinging away there on the lawn.... :)

No, barely sprinkled out here mate...!!! I have fans running in the garage to dry it all out so I hope it stays away as well ... ;)

Aww yeah, nah. Nice pics mate. Hope the storms didn't flog you too hard.

I think Jerry means Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury :D

Seriously, it did take Jerry a long time to teach me the art of the Australian vernacular.
