The B 13 means the scales are produced in April, May or June 2013. So as long as they are before the birthdate that is okay. The V means S35VN. Their is a page on the forums with all the information but I can't find it.
One of the easiest ways to tell if it's fake is to go to one of the chinese wholesale websites that only sell fakes, and compare yours to the ones on there. Just briefly checking Aliexpress, the fakes on there didn't have perforated washers, any of the internal markings, and the blade grind/hardware were both incorrect.
The anodizing on the thumbstud does wear off quite easily, happens with all anodized thumbstuds.
Hello there,......I have just bought a Chris Reeve Sebenza 25 off of the forums and was wanting to ask some general questions about the knife.....
If you purchased it legitimately from someone here on the Forum, especially someone whose numbers showed some time and experience here, the odds are so great that you have a real one I wouldn't worry a lot about it.
Put a magnet on the titanium. Titanium is not magnetic. Make sure the blade is out (extended) or the magnet might attract the blade through the titanium.

I think you are overly concerned about this. It's rare to get a fake from a BF member. Especially if they have 20 or more positive feedback and no negative.
If the knife is used and been used a lot the color on the thumb stud may dull.
Sit back and enjoy your knife. [emoji12]
