The B 13 means the scales are produced in April, May or June 2013. So as long as they are before the birthdate that is okay. The V means S35VN. Their is a page on the forums with all the information but I can't find it.

Thanks for the reply. I also looked for a page on the forums, but could not seem to find it. I found some stuff from 2009, but thought that was probably a little out dated.

One of the easiest ways to tell if it's fake is to go to one of the chinese wholesale websites that only sell fakes, and compare yours to the ones on there. Just briefly checking Aliexpress, the fakes on there didn't have perforated washers, any of the internal markings, and the blade grind/hardware were both incorrect.

The anodizing on the thumbstud does wear off quite easily, happens with all anodized thumbstuds.

Better yet, report this thread and have it moved to the Chris Reeve Forum.
All the questions you have asked about are addressed there.

Unfortunately, I am not that familiar with blade grinds. Also, looking through ali, I did not really notice that many differences other than some of the listings showing solid washers. So far, I have not really seen anything that would suggest that the knife that I got is counterfeit. I just like to be 100 percent sure.

I will post some photos this afternoon so people can see the knife.

Hello there,......I have just bought a Chris Reeve Sebenza 25 off of the forums and was wanting to ask some general questions about the knife.....

If you purchased it legitimately from someone here on the Forum, especially someone whose numbers showed some time and experience here, the odds are so great that you have a real one I wouldn't worry a lot about it.

Put a magnet on the titanium. Titanium is not magnetic. Make sure the blade is out (extended) or the magnet might attract the blade through the titanium.

The member is not very old, but enough. I am convinced that the knife is real. I just seem to worry sometimes.

Thanks

I did stick a neodymium magnet to the scales and they were not even slightly magnetic. So I know it is not any kind of steel.

Thanks,

I think you are overly concerned about this. It's rare to get a fake from a BF member. Especially if they have 20 or more positive feedback and no negative.

If the knife is used and been used a lot the color on the thumb stud may dull.

Sit back and enjoy your knife. [emoji12]

yep, will do.

The fakes are made from titanium.

The op's knife sounds legit.

Yeah the blue can come off quite easily too. Some people have more "aggressive" sweat/oil on their hands.

My small 21's came off pretty quick.
