Some Closeout Specials

I found four unique khukuris in the stockroom today - here they are.

Bohjpure with Silver Plated Brass Handle: Bhojpure style blade, sword-of-shiva engraving on the blade, about 15 inches overall length. Price: $50.00

Mini-Jungle with White Deer Handle - This handle, while real deer horn, is too pourous to sell at "deer horn" prices - if you are good with handle polishing, you could probably make this one look pretty nice. Or, if you're just interested in a mini-jungle for "use and abuse" then this one is for you - $40.00.

Service Number One with Alternate Ivory Handle - again, a user and abuser. We brought "alternate" ivory to Nepal, and the bishwakarmas didn't have much luck shaping this handle material. This one has a small crack (about 1 inch) extending down from the ferrule ring. The knife is still usable. Taped or repaired, it'd be a good user - the blade is perfect. $45.00. The chakmak and karda are sambar deer horn!

High Neck Khukuri with Alternate Ivory Handle: This one has nothing wrong with it. These khukuris have a larger silver buttcap (extending into the handle) - thus the "high-neck" nomenclature. Blade is super nice, and the buttcap is ergodynamically attached so as not to dig into your palm. The white alternate ivory is NOT cracked (one of the few prototypes to survive) - when you see the video and how they make handles, you'll know why this material didn't work out.

All are priced to include shipping. If you want one, sign up for it here (to lock it in) and then contact me via email or telephone.

PS: I don't have pictures of these khukuris what with the Christmas rush here at GH. And why the low prices? Because onzies and twozies that aren't "one of a kinds" are too hard (too labor intensive) to market on the website - I just want to get them outta here!

I'll take the mini jungle and the Service #1. You didn't post the price of the High neck Khukuri.

Oops! I guess $75.00 is good - they were more expensive when I brought the other four in, but I have one left and might as well price it to move.

Contact me on Monday about the other two (or three) knives.

atc, I think there is a pic of this khukuri's handle on the thread, "steel high-necked khukuri" on 08-22-00. If it's one like I saw in August, it has a SN1 blade that is absolutely fabulous. The whole rig is many fold more beautiful than the photo shows. A big-time thumbs up!

Forumites, when I first became interested in khukuris, Craig gave me an excellent piece of advice: to review the old postings. There's so much good stuff that will bring anybody up to speed, and I do mean REAL QUICK. Questions will be answered that you haven't even thought up yet! It's not a lifetime commitment or too much chit-chat.

LT Dan is right, but I sure don't mind answering questions at all - it's about 15 inches overall length - maybe an inch longer.

Hi Craig,

If the Bhojpure is still around, I'd like to have it.

Thank you, and am also eagerly waiting for the khukuri-making video.
