Some Cold Steel up as home decor...

Very nice! What is that cane thing to the right?
Thanks!

The cane is actually just a cane.
It has a horse head shaped handle and wood shaft, (made in Italy).

I'm only waiting on one more CS item to come my way, it currently being on backorder. It's a Chaos Push Dagger, and that may complete my Cold Steel buying spree for a while.
I was looking real hard at their Facon knife, and although it has good reviews on them, the look of it being a dolled chef's knife always makes me back off on pulling the trigger to get one. I know it's supposed to look that way, and it's still pretty cool... But, I will likely pass.
I'll obviously keep my peepers peeled to see if anything else winds up tickling my fancy! πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ‘

I love the look and idea behind the Facon. As I understand it, it was a genuine "all purpose" knife, everything from processing game and cooking meals, to camp chores and fighting. And this from people who really did all of those things with their knives. As such the design had to legitimately do it all and that's the shape they settled on. Very cool.

I know little about traditional knife designs. Is the Facon loosely based off typical French knives of the 17-1800's ? It seems to have the same long, thin pointed style/shape. Like a chef knife.
