Two weeks ago I ordered one of Barry H's Lightening Strike Carbon Fiber scales for my Large Regular Sebenza and it showed up on Wednesday!
Pictures do not do it justice, it shimmers and shines nicely in difference lights and the pattern is stunning!
It's very well made and matches the old TI scale exactly! No blade play, centered blade and still as smooth as the day I sent it to him!
Also about a week ago I realized I wanted a nicer more heavy duty belt sheath than the standard CRK two button sheath, I figured my Large Insingo deserved something that fit it better.
I emailed Paul Long and 48 hours after I sent him my knife for fitment, it was on it's way back home! That's some quick turn around time with some awesome quality and craftsman ship! Usually my philosophy is you can't rush perfection, but Paul makes an exception!
It fits the Large Micarta Insingo like a glove! It's also slimmer yet uses just as thick of leather as the standard sheath, but it's just a little wider which makes it looks more classy and heavy duty.
This picture shows three of my sheaths, Left to Right, Paul Long Clipcase in Elephant leather, Paul Long Snap Closure Belt sheath, Standard CRK belt sheath
A nice touch was to taper the belt loop into the back of the sheath which makes it look way better! And it sits very snuggly on my belt!
The snap does not protrude at all in the Paul Long sheath! It appears to be nestled nicely into the leather, while the standard CRK sheath the snap is pop riveted through the leather and is covered by a very thin piece of leather which I've had to re-glue back into place quite a few times...it keeps rolling off and scratching up the knife.
