Does the billet with the 3x3 round use 2 or 3 steels. Is the metal in between powdered metal like CPM? I like the pattern on the last knife.

started out as the 3rd pic down in my second post. It's 52100 needle berrings with 1080 powder around it. I just did 2 4-way welds after the initial can was welded and drawn out.

btw i understand the steels may not heat treat the same but i was making this for bolsters and fittings not a blade
 
Cool, haven't tried the powder metals yet, I ever get time they look like they're fun. Looks like your having fun too.:thumbup:
