Has anyone been forced to let a knife go for financial reasons, but you vow to get one back some day? At one point I bought more Busses than I could afford and I had to sell off redundant sizes and uses. I have Busses that I consider more awesomely awesome than a SAR8, but damn... I don't think I had a sexier knife than that Pumpkin and Satin SAR8. Between the melted edges and swooping blade and bright attention grabbing slabs... and perfect grip/handle shape... Damn! I used to keep it on my night stand, and just handle it and stare at it while watching TV. Every time I see one on the exchange, or around here, I drool. I dont think I've ever seen a pumpkin one go up for sale. Every other model for that fact seems rare to hit the exchange.
I had hoped to score a pumpkin SAR3 as a comforting reminder of my beautiful 8, but I pulled the trigger too early on a red/black.
Some day... I'll get my pumpkin SAR8 back. Hopefully it will be from some generous HOG who will let it go for a reasonable price.
