After tons of hassles dealing with Emerson to purchase a Persian in the December 2020 run, and finally getting the mod done, it has arrived safely at home!

Andrew Charlet (@fastlt1nos on Instagram) did this for me - contoured green canvas scales!

I forgot how big these are (I wear M size gloves for reference):

Nice contouring of the scales:

Look ma, no machining marks in the liners!! (My Emerson pet peeve - thanks Andrew!)

It's almost perfect except whoever was sharpening that day removed a hair from the tip so it's not needle sharp. Still plenty sharp, just my Emerson never quite nail Benchmade or Spyderco level of QC (not that they ever attempted to.)

Still I'm happy - I sold my last Persian probably 15 years ago, so welcome back!

I'll take it. PM sent. Just kidding! Nice knife. Guess they still used the dual detent on this one even with the new logo. I've had the same tip issue on a few of my Emersons too, bugs me a little on limited edition pieces.

Yes I was a little surprised to see the double detent too.. but I do prefer them as it means I can tune the blade centering. At least Emerson have got a lot better lately with blade centering out of the box.

When he does a common Emerson model, he normally makes a batch and posts them on Instagram.
CQC-7, A-100 seem to be most common... but in this case my Persian got sent direct from Emerson to Andrew and then he sent it to me afterwards as I had some other minor mod work done at the same time.

I follow him on the gram, I’ve got a Persian inbound and started the scale hunt. Not really finding much.
