my batoning buddies :) a 19.5" sorta dui chirra chiruwa ang khola Sgt. Khadka and a cold steel long hunger. the ak did quite well all around. I was batoning with it because the wood that was brought was a lot of 16" rounds, 4x8 and 5x8 planks.

didn't sustain to much damage. the recurve got a small ding that was steeled out (you can barely see it after the steeling in the photo). the scales did get nocked back from being hit with from the baton (I tried not to, but a few strikes got in there). I'll either replace them with bolt fasteners later, or try to mallet them back into place. I knocked off the ring on the handle because it was way to low, right on the bottom of my ring finger. I was very pleased with its performance :)

the baton I made. it's kinda big, but the stuff I was batoning was equally large. (thats bobby holding it, everyone liked it. even though tacoma and it's surrounding area's are surrounded by forest, people growing up the city apperently do very little arts and crafts growing up)

that peice of wood was beautiful to me. it took a long time and a lot of work to split it around the branch, but it was worth it. the wood had grown into the branch in places, and at others the branch was surrounded by bark. it was fun

they brought a lot of wood considering that there was only tiny grills at the camp site we ended up at.
