some GEC info please

i love gec got five but bought them all second hand,,i just bought one brand spanking new stockman,fit an finish is awesome,beautiful knife.i love it.but my one problem is this thing is duller than my butter knife..is this how they come or did i get one that skipped through the sharpening Q.C check.

GEC has been known to send knives out not very sharp, it's not unusual nor is it something to worry about. Assuming you know how to sharpen that is...

I would check out some of the other threads here relating to sharpening/reprofiling new GECs, everyone has a different way of dealing with this issue. I'm into convexing at the moment.

It happens. The good news is, unlike Queen's D2, you can get that edge just like you like it in no time without diamonds.
