some good deals, some awesome stuff

I saw those also, I wish I had the coin to make a run at them. The neat thing about the red handled Sifu and Carnivore is only 20 were made. I have #15 of the red handled Carnivores, and I was thinking about adding a Sifu from the second batch. Well the second batch was never made.

I wish Mike were auctioning them off individually instaed of in lots. There's a few that I would be interested in, but they are bundled together with "undesirables". I guess it's just easier & quicker cash for him to do it this way. Hopefully, some auction winers will be selling their spares here!

Ebay cancelled all of the WOW auctions for reasons not yet known. The great one (I am kissing up, desperately wanting those REKATs myself) emailed me to let me know he was probably going to relist them depending on ebay's explanantions. As to the lot vs individual I am a strong proponent of the lot as it makes it easier to win if you can swing it.

What do you think the group would go for? What did they sell for initially? (Hey Mike, I'll paypal you the initial price for the lot and you can save those nasty ebay fees).

I hope he does get them back up. The REKATS took the cake, but even the cheaper lots were nice. Good lot of beaters or even presents...

Am I the only one who was disturbed by the knockoffs? And the comment on one batch to the effect that at least they were nice knockoffs really rubbed me wrong.

I think designers deserve more respect, even if they aren't always in a position to enforce it legally.

Hey, I don't like knockoffs either and I would never buy one. The people that would buy them are not the ones that ever would have bought the original. They just want a cheap knife that looks cool and don't give a damn about quality. The folks that know better would never buy that crap.

Selling knives is a business and there are way more people that will buy a cheap knife than there are people willing to pay for a quality one. The fact that a knockoff looks like a popular high quality knife helps it to sell. As long as it is not a counterfit that is trying to pass itself of as the real thing, I have no real problem with a knife dealer selling cheap lookalike knives. You never know, maybe after that cheap piece of garbage breaks, and it will, the person that bought it will go for the real thing the next time around. Who knows?

One lot included 2 Camillus EDCs, while several included one EDC. There were a few Outdoor edge items and a CRKT Tighe. Personally, I like some of the Smith & Wesson knives. I don't think any of these knives are crap.

Maybe it's my untrained eye, but I spotted maybe three knockoffs. Maybe I should've been a bit more clear on what I was referring to.

Are you sure only 20 Red-Handled SIFUs were made? My serial number says No.14 of 50, so I would assume that at least 50 were made in the numbered versions. Then again, my serial number IS less than 20.

I think you should all ignore those REKAT knives on the ebay auction. The item number (1085936090) is considered VERY bad luck in many cultures, you might cut yourself and isn't the word "Sifu" a bit worn on the bottom of the red one. Shoot, you don't need that.
