Do you remember a while back when I asked for smoke for a friend who had a bad heart problem and was in a coma?

Your smoke worked. He regained consciousness, and after mild bouts of paranoia (the Russians and my father, who he thought was an assassin, were after him :D ) and some mild memory loss, he has really come back. Memory and all. In fact, he can still speak German. I figure the ability to speak multiple languages is pretty high-order, don't you?

Apparantly your smoke was needed, too. They had to shock him 7 times to get his old ticker going right again. The paramedic said that, in 10 years, he's only seen 3 people survive what happened to him.

It was a pretty incredible recovery, and I'm sure the good vibes helped. Believe me, he got a kick out of the fact that knife knuts all over the world were thinkin' of him! Thank you all so very much.


It's good to have some good news, isn't it? :)

Lately, life was pretty brutal to Yangdu, to Rusty's family, and to all of cantina. It's good - no, it's great - to hear something contrary. To hear that there are people who beat all the odds and recover. Three cases in 10 years? Wow.
 
I like the idea of six shocks and the seventh a charm. Good news, Nam.

I like to think that it was my smoke specifically that turned things around. :D :rolleyes:
