After several weeks of dismal progress at the shops, my father and the
manager have managed to make some welcome progress. Sadly, that progress does not extend to the electricity situation. There is not much we can do to improve that right now.

Our great news is that my father and shop manager have managed to get a
good supply of coal from another part of Nepal, which will put our Kamis back to work.
They are as eager to start working again as all of you forumites are eager to get your Farmcata knives.

I will keep you all updated on their progress and be delighted to announce
the arrival of a shipment of Farmcata knives as soon as they arrive.

That is great news. At least they will have the materials for some work, although no electricity can't be easy.

Here's hoping for more villager farm knives like the one on todays DOTD... ;)

Slow progress IS progress.....I'll take it!
Thank you Auntie! This is the best news i've heard in awhile.

I am happy the kamis are moving in a positive direction.
Slow and steady progress is always good compared to the alternatives.
Blessings, however small, are still blessings.

that's great news - hopes and good thoughts and prayers for you and all those involved with HI

Anything's good. This might be a good time for me to start learning more about fuel & energy......

so odd to hear of coal shortages... where Im sitting I could walk 500 meters and pick bituminous coal off the ground...

glad to hear that you have a source now! hope its a big one that will last for years
