I don't like coatings, and any rust is just going to be cosmetic if you get to it in a few days at most... SO

What are your top choices in a folder in M4 that aren't over $300 or so new? A lot of these folders in M4 seem to come with an inflated price due to maker, but of course heat treating and geometry are what made some of these makers earn their price points.

Anyway, bottom line, in a 2.75-3.5" folder what's your recommendation for non-coated blades? Looks like those "Dixie Arachnid Primate" folders might be a candidate. Or if Mick and Dwayne would just cave in and make me my SM-100 I could just die a happy man and stop this madness. : )

Find a mantra 2 on clearance. 115$ Decent flipper, slicey, and carries tiny in pocket.
Either gayle bradley folder or advocate flipper find them while you can.

cpm-m4 - which is even better ;) seriously look at the gayle bradley 2, all around great

GB2 is bigger than he asked for.

It's actually pretty hard to find M4 these days. Seems like manufacturers have moved past it unfortunately

Wow, one tenth of an inch too large, and you posted? What a fence builder... Also, there are still m4 folders to be had, you just have to have good google fu..
Back to my original issue, your post was no help, hope your 3000th post is more meaningful.

I have a mantra 2 and it’s.... okay...

I wanted it for the M4 as well and I thought it looked cool so I picked it up.

There’s nothing wrong with it but the knives I love just push it out of my carry rotation.
