Hey guys, I was am wondering what some great American made sodbusters are. I have only owned an Opinel No. 8 and a buck 110, so don't mention those. I enjoy toothpick knives too, but i have never owned one. I'm looking for a good smaller knife for a low price. Thanks

I have an older Case Sodbuster from the 1990s. Think I paid $17 back then. The quality of this particular example is very good, but I suggest purchasing in person to make sure you're getting a good product.

Queen and Great Eastern both make "sodbuster" pattern knives. The GEC is probably more than $50. The Queen model is called, "Country Cousin."
AG Russell has two sodbuster-ish patterns called the Cowboy and Rancher. The knives themselves are imported, but Mr. Russell is a legend in the American knife industry. With his name on the knife, his warranty, and his reputation and history, I wouldn't hesitate to order one.

Happy shopping!

For under $40.00, there are only two USA made Sodbuster's, Case and Bear & Son. Street prices will be less, and either is a fine choice.

There are still a few delrin Queen Country Cousins floating around with D2 in the $30 range. Can't go wrong with a $20 Case CV.

Also can find Case CV Bone and SS for around your price.

Check the Case Chestnut Bone CV Sodbuster Jr. It's a nice one. Knifeswapper has them in the mid $30 range.
