I wondered how I should go about putting a knife up for trade if it is already up for sale.

I'm just thinking that maybe certain people will not be looking in "Production For Sale" so what do most people do?

Do I put a for sale thread up and put trades within that thread? Do I put up a for sale thread and a for trade thread?

I just don't wanna do the WRONG thing.

Thanks.

I think they just put up a sale thread - then say you will also take trades there???

You can state that you are accepting trade offers as well in your For Sale thread, but don't make a trade thread and stick a price tag next to it, savvy? :D

Just kidding,

Make a Sale Thread, you wouldn't believe how many people look in there rather than the trade area. Just name your price and say that you are willing to accept trade offers.

Don't make a trade thread and then say that it has a "trade value of xxxx dollars" that will get you for trying to sell there.

Do make both, make a sale thread and make a trade thread. Whichever bites first or appeals to you, that is the one to accept and just make note of it in the other thread. Example, if it is traded in a trade thread, just close or make note of it in your Sale thread.

Hope this helps and is accurate, J.

Thanks man. That helps a lot.

Much appreciated!

I never look in the trade forum, FYI. It's generally too return specific.
