They don't make that amp any more and now the new model costs $8,000 each ;)

What are they and what are you powering with them? Class AB? What 88's and what's the output... Used to have a nice system back when I had some money.

Nice everything in that photo!

Those are made by VAC.

They are mono amps and are 160 watts each. However they only drive the 16 upper and midrange drivers on each side. If I recall they are class A, truth is I don't pay that much attention to that as long as the sound is "right". The base on each side is powered by internal 1000 watt solid state mono amps.

The speakers were made by Epiphany but that model is also out of production because the drivers became too expensive.

The front end is Audio Research both pre amp and CD are the Ref. series. I still need a turtable.

I'm VERY happy with the sound.

Regards,
Tony

EDRADOUR single malt! Mr. G's good taste obviously is not limited to knives and amp.:) One can only manage to get some GLENFIDDISH 15.

Sounds like a great system. I had a VAC Avatar Super integrated and I think VAC amps are hard to beat.
Doubtful to be class A at 160w and with KT-88 output tubes but if so I imagine you could heat your house with them :p But really like you said, who cares if it sounds good.
160w just for the upper and mids and 1000w for the bass:eek: you must be able to blow your roof off with that much power. I would love to hear Epiphany speakers some day...
Once you get that vinyl front end... prepare to melt into your seat.:D

Back in the day just my cabling alone was worth about $4k.... it's a crazy hobby,, even crazier than knives...

What's the blade length on that BTH, Tony?

And as for the sound...sheesh. I can't even imagine. On my end, just got the visual part of my system taken care of, now begins the long, impatient search for the sound portion. Probably gonna be awhile though, seeing as the baby's coming...

That's a sweet looking BT4 Tony! I'm hopin' to see one in the mail one of these days in punkin.
