Hey people, i though you traditional knife nuts might like to see and hear about some carvin knives of mine, the pics are not so great (Cheap camera and an LED flashlight + motion blur, they may make you queasy) but i though i'd share anyway.. First up we have my two flexcut fixed carvers, the skinny one is all original and does not see as much use, the pelican blade however is quite nasty and see's a lot, so the handle broke and i had to make a new one, sometimes i think it looks like an obese whale but it works very well, fits my hand.

Next, we have the flexcut carvin jack and a "Mastercarver" knife. not sure who made the mastercarver but its a great little lock-back except for one thing, the factory edge sucked, spent about three hours re-profiling it. The carvin jack on the other hand, came nasty sharp. it is also downright dangerous to anyone trying to open it that does not know what there getting into, it has seen a few years use and still works like a charm, all the blades are high carbon steel

and another shot,

And one more, the carvin jack also comes with a nice leather sheath

Well, that came out a bit longer than i expected, i hope y'all enjoyed and were not bored, and if you have any well used carvers of you're own i would love to see. Be safe, and have a good night/ early morning, or whatever time it is there.

Nice knives. I like to whittle a little but I don't have dedicated knives for the purpose, I use whatever is in my pocket. I like my Boker Barlow for whittlin' the best I think.

I just bought my wife a set of those Flexcut carvers from A.G. Russell for her birthday in May. They came in a nice little wooden box, and are great for the intended purpose. A.G. had a good price on 'em then, too.

BTW, Trigcure, if you put the "" tags around your links the pictures will show up in your post without having to click on the link.

I tried to edit and do just that for him, Sam, but for some reason it's not working. Maybe a little hiccup.
