:) I've just acquired one of these Schrade stockman featuring the Kentucky Rifle. The only difference is that the number on mine is 13978. Can anyone help with dates or any other information. Thanks. David
 
Without a picture, it sounds like what was quite possibly one of, if not the, first Commemerative knives. That one was made by Schrade for A. G. Russell's Knife Collectors Club in 3 grades.
