DO you have the tools? And materials to use?
Just make it your self - you have the knife there...
And you may come up with the next HOT sheath design?

Lot of help here and others work to view.
Good luck.

Rayban made a hell of a nice back pocket sheath, and I think it was posted here a short while ago. Any way enlist the aid of our buddy Rick and let him give you some guidance.

Paul, you're way too kind, thanks!
Night Wolf......look at this style on this thread, it's very basic and simple . I think you can see quite easily how it was done just by looking over the pictures. If this is kinda what you have in mind, get back to me with any questions.

I have seen you work and the praise is well deserved. I think i can adapt that pattern for my uses thanks for the suggestion. I have 2 questions to start off with. What is the most basic set up i can have and still make it work and what weights of leather should i look for?

WolfMan, what I would advise is to pick up the book "The Art of Hand Sewing Leather" by Al Stohlman. you can find it on ebay or a Tandy Store, Amazon carries it too I think.
In this book you'll find very easy to follow instructions on the tools you need and how to use them.
Note; the book was published before waxed thread was available I believe, so you can bypass info regarding waxing linen thread. You'll understand what I mean when/if you get the book.
I believe it's a "must have" book for anyone into leather work....you'll find yourself referring to it constantly.
Here's a couple pages of it:

Opps forgot.....7/8oz is a good all-around wt. of leather for any small project. If you want to know where to get some, better PM me before I get in trouble for throwing around names of companies who are not paying to advertise here.
