Well, this year no "holiday review" (at least not now). Instead just some CRK related photos from my 2 weeks holidays spent in the Polish mountains Beskidy. That is extremely wild place! That was my first holiday in last couple of years with no cellphone coverage AT ALL! Yes, that's right! No connecton to the outside world for whole 2 weeks! That was GREAT time. Insted of surfing I did some MTB, mountaineering, wood walking, mushroom picking, etc.

Some MTB "fun"... yes, the PS was my "all-time-carry" blade! It's very underrated I think. PS is EXTREMELY well designed & handy utility knife!

And as a bonus - my secret Sebenza beer opening technique... does not leave any mark on Sebenza and it's very handy after whole day on the bike ;) Tested hundreds of times over last years.

And... that's it! Hope you like some of these pics :)

You just place the thumb rump of the closed blade under the cap, put left hand like in the "BIC lighter" opening technique and than turn your Sebenza hand just as you'd like to speed up your HD bike :D Psssssst! Pop! And opened :D

Piotr,

Great seeing the family! Beautiful setting, great food, fantastic family (and fine gear in use!) -- perfect recipe for making memories.

Dave

P.S. Looking forward to hearing about your decisions.

I used to open beers that way all the time.

With the modern, el-cheapo bottles now in circulation, it often results in breakage at the lip. On several occasions I've had the entire lip spall off in one piece. Kind of a bummer when you're down to your last beer.

What really freaks me out is the little tiny divots that sometimes pop off. Homie just ain't into drinking glass, I guess.

The back-in-the-day bar technique was to place the cap's flange on the edge of a table and smack it from above. Took a little skill with the heavier cap stock of yore.

Anyway, be careful….

Oh, and nice pics. :)

wow, beautiful pictures. it's gorgeous there! thanks for sharing with us, and thanks for the bottle-opening tip.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like you had some super fine eating as well.

Piter-
Fantastic pictures. You have a beautiful family, great gear and looks like you really made great use of your holiday. Thanks for sharing!!

Piter:

Very nice pics! How do you like the CRK Pacific? I am thinking of getting one.
Thank you!

Great pics, Poland is a beautifull place. :)

Iv only been once but my grand father was Polish so id love to spend more time there one day.

Very nice pics! How do you like the CRK Pacific?
Thanks! Pacific is an awesome knife! Cuts a bi better than GB due to higher grind. However GB 5.5 is hard to beat as an overall outdoor tool. Hey, show me a CRK, which would be not a great knife :)

Hi Piter! Thank you for the input. And you are right CRK's are great knives. I bought a Sebenza and after a month I bought a second one:)
I have 2 Randall's a # 14 and a #5 and was looking to get a #25 but after playing with the Sebbies I have been considering the Pacific instead. The 5 year wait for the Randall is just crazy. And the prices that dealers want for selling one right now, are even crazier.
Best regards

Shike

Those are GREAT pix!!! It looks like you all had a great time.:thumbup:

Bottle opener - I had a need for that last night - works fine !
