Heya Folks,
Just had a quick question about reshaping one of the horn handles on my Sirupati and a Pen Knife. I got kinda broad hands, and tend to hold knives in a sorta loose grip when chopping. (keeping a loose grip, tighten just before blade strikes) I also don't often wear work gloves. (real men have callouses an' all that macho bidness)
Anyhoo, I was wondering if I'd do any harm to the horn handles by rounding off the ends of 'em, and what way would be the best. was thinkin' 'bout using a black marker and a dremel tool to rough the shape out, and some 1500 grit paper to re-pretty-ize it.
While I'm here on a handle thread...was also wondering how rugged y'all consider 'em to be. I often times with I had wood handles, cause I know and trust wood a little more in it's malleability, but so far the horn has held up.
Thanks!
