Hey knife friends,
I just whipped up a post about abrasives in the maintenace, tinkering and embellishment section of BF, but I think some of you that don't go there often will also find this an interesting read.
After all, it's about getting YOUR knives sharp
from the intro: "when talking about sharpening there is always a need to classify what the abrasives on the sharpening medium is so we have a way of comparing the different sharpening tools by different manufacturers out there.
In this post I will explain what abrasives are, what makes them a good abrasive, where you should use them and how we should describe them."
