Some Kershaw questions.

So I've been doing some fall cleaning and noticed something interesting with my two R.A.M. folders.

My satin first production run has a one piece stop pin. My new DLC coated model has a two-piece or collared stop pin. It looks like there is a sleeve around the pine that rotates around, I assume this is to account for any wear.

Anyone know when this change was made?

Which leads me to my next question, Kershaw will sell parts for their knives but I'm curious just what they will sell. Could I order new springs for my R.A.M.s? Or a newer style stop pin for my satin R.A.M.?

They'll send you ao springs, bolts, washers, spacers for free usually but im not sure if they'll send you the inner workings of the hawk lock. Hit em up: 1-800-325-2891 They're in Tualatin OR

They'll pretty much send you anything but the blade.

Never noticed a difference in my stop pins. Maybe I'll check it out some time when I take them apart. (I'm way to lazy right now.) Is there a reason you want new springs?

I'll give them a call on my lunch break.

Phil, I have no functional reason for wanting new springs, just one of these things I was curious about. You can never have too many spare parts!
