Rummaging through the collection, I stumbled on kitchen cutlery, some of which I'd forgotten I had. So here are the forgotten heroes.

#1. My cheapest & most expensive chef knives: (top) Oxo, less than $2 at thrift store, thin edge sharpens well. (bottom) Murray Carter Perfect Kitchen Knife.
#2. 8" Kiritsuke I had Robert Erickson make for me in AEB-L. This one I don't forget, it's used pretty regularly.
#3. Thrift store finds, with the exception of the blue handled WinCo SofTek which I got at a restaurant supply store for $15 just to try it out. Its quite thin edge came surprisingly sharp out of the box. It bit me.

#4. Thrift store finds, with the exception of the Murray Carter paring knife, which I got from the man himself.
#5. Thrifters except for the Spyderco show purchase and the Carter I picked up at the shop IIRC.
#6. Thrift shop gems, with the Cold Steel Bushman pair in their Carbon V being online purchases back in the day.

A very nice array, sir.
I can definitely understand not forgetting the Erickson.
Love the Mighty Oak. Same handle profile and material as their bread knife, which I've used for about 40 years.

If any of y'all others have stumbled unexpectedly on culinary cutlery your (aging, in my case) memory banks had lost track of, hang 'em on in here. And thrift store or yard/garage sale finds are always welcome too. Show 'em if ya got 'em.

Thank you, sir. Appreciate the info.

Unpictured is a Dexter 12" chef knife that typically gets relegated to melon splitting in the summer.
I can claim no expert knowledge: I enlarged the pic, and it was printed on the left side.

5" raindrop damascus petty with Corian scales. Hollow saber grind.
