The Busse FFBM is a beast and out chopped the others(as expected due to size). It's VERY heavy and is best suited in your pack or on your shoulder. But it will last 1000 years..
The Heafner was a surprise--It did much better than expected.Bit into everything and asked for more!!!
Both Siegles did great---Going to give the chopper to my wife. The one with the Choil fits me PERFECTLY and will be buired with me.
The Bark River Golok is also going to be hers--too light for me.
The Last (smallest) one is a knife I'm testing on a passaround by DP knives
Very well made-sharp and easy to control.Sweet knife for sure,,

That Busse is an absolute monster! I really dig the Siegle with the choil as well, very nice. Gorgeous dog too:thumbup:

I got a chance to meet that DP Knives blade this summer at the WNY get together. It's a sweetheart alright. Enjoy!

What a disappointment! When you said a hike with 6 ladies, I didn't know you were talking about your knives. :grumpy:, beautiful knives that they are.

Zeus is one beautiful looking Shepherd, my favourite breed. Used to have a couple, but I live in an apartment now, so no dogs (dogs don't belong in apartments). I do have a couple of spiders, tho...............

Doc

GREAT pics as usual Dr Bill!!

Love your collection of blades you post up. Such sweet Siegles!

Great stuff as usual buddy !

The Siegle without the choil would be my pick of the bunch, awesome looking blade !

Give Zeus a big pat from me !!!

I agree with Pit 100%.
Zeus is looking fantastic.
That Busse is amazing as well.

Thanks for all the kind words

:)

I have a wife that also loves knives -so I end up with more than most.
She would rather have a new knife than go out to dinner at a fancy place.
I am truly blessed...

Zeus just turned 15 months old on the 16th.
My Fifth German Shepherd.Best one I ever owned.

Bill,

I always enjoy your posts, great stuff! The pooch looks like a real companion, I grew up with a giant GS named Bruno, he was a special to us...

I really want to see something really outchop a Busse FFBM. Just to see it be outchopped.

Great test.

Thanks for the pics

hey william, thanks for the comparison and the pics.
amazing dog!!
care to ask your wife if she's willing to let go of the golok?
I would love to get one of those for a good price. It's my holy grail.
