Today I want to present some knives from the Belgian bladesmith Claude Bouchonville.

I ordered a knife by him like this Hunter style:

Just came back from a hammer inn in Belgium and was able to look at some of Claudes work. He's amazing!! You can't stop looking at it.

Claude is a really good guy and very talented. That fluted guard is kind of a trademark of his. He and a number of the other BKS members are classified as "hobbyist" makers, but don't let that fool you. Apparently, the term hobbyist means that your declared sales are less than somewhere around 20,000 Euros per year and you don't have to have a VAT account. Has nothing to do with skill.
