This thing is great! I had some pretty weather today so I decided to try out my new Khukri and I was amazed:thumbup: I will note that this thing is HEAVY. I work out four nights a week and this thing had my forearms screaming in about 4 minutes.

Vim made that one, eh?

Looks great. I have a couple of his khuks. My YCS has sorta the same bolsters...sort of an abbreviated habaki style.

Some sweet curves for sure.

I have no idea what that means but thanks:thumbup: Does he make a good Khuk? I assume he does as this one is awesome.

l have a 25" sirupati by kami Vim and the edge hardening on it is excellent.

Yes Vim makes a good khukri.

That is awesome!

An M43 is on my short list. I kinda wonder why I don't have one already, because I have always loved that profile.

Of course you realize that now you have to get another Khuk with a narrow tang and compare the relative chopping comfort with your chiruwa/panawal. ;)

BTW- What kind of tree was that you were hacking on? Just curious- I couldn't really tell from the pix.

The handle felt great, took some getting use to because I am used to the thinner handle of my Busse. I did not notice a lot of vibration or shock coming up through my arm:thumbup: That tree is an old half dead apple tree

Apple is hard as hell.

Hills try out a 17" Ganga Ram next. (my favorite)

In general I think the Kamis make the handles too fat. That's the good thing about the partial tang ones. You can slim them down easier.

When I am chopping I like to hold the khuk loose, but sometimes that's hard when the handle is fat. I like a slimmer handle with a wide bell at the back.

HD do you have a pic of a Ganga Ram? Not sure that I've seen one before. What do you like about them?

Just the overall ergonomics by the way 3 khukuri fans from WV in this thread!!!

Wow those look like very clean cuts. And the surplus of khukri fans is probably due to WV's semi tropical climate! The khukri is well suited to this enviroment:thumbup: I swear in June-Aug this place feels like a rain forest.

Boy, I'd love to have that apple sawn up and let it sit for 4 or 5 years....
