We have been working on Crown Jacks lately. I returned home to find a few sitting on my desk for check-up, tuning and my OK to continue with the swadges, lanyards and other finishing touches.

I've always been in a mad, passionate love affair with mammoth ivory. I just can't get enough of it. As I was going through each piece, I put some aside and took this photo. It shows just some of the wide variety of color, texture and beauty of this unbelievable material.

So, here is the photo. Please enjoy all the colors and textures. A couple people suggested that I should not post a photo of this many of one kind of knife. But, most of you know that these are our handmades and that they are very, very limited in what is produced. So, love the mammoth and all the colors. Enjoy what Mother Nature has so graciously given to us.

I added one photo of some stag pieces that are also working their way across my bench. This stuff is just too interesting. I've been carrying a stag crownie around all day now. Can't seem to put it down. LOL

Hope to see some of you at the Blade Show and get you an opportunity to see some of the cool stuff live and in person.

Keep Care,

Pappy

Nice!! I love the last two the most. Especially the second from last. Mammoth ivory is a great thing and really makes knives more interesting to me.

STUNNING Pappy. I am very fond of stag too! and those are some nice ones.

Pleasure seeing them.

WOW, outstanding handle material.
I particularly like the last four mammoth ivories.
Thanks for sharing, I love this stuff.

Amazing colors!! Looks like you've got them all covered.

That stag is incredible!!

Funny, to me #2 is representative of the "perfect" mammoth ivory. I guess my tastes run towards the simple and common. :D
