Nope I haven't had any problems with the handles and the hot kydex. What are you using as your heat source?

I haven't tried making any sheaths but have read that the kydex has to be quite hot to be flexable.

350° is the ideal working temperature when working with kydex. But the hot kydex doesn't affect these handles. I've molded multiple sheaths from one of these knives and the handle still looks new.

All I remember is the custom knifemaker bought it from someone with a broken tip, and he reprofiled blade and thinned out the guard.
