I've made myself some more sheaths. The GW sheath on the right below was the second sheath I've made (the first being a pouch I have posted in the past). It works great, though there are some things I'd correct if I made that one again -- I would use a smaller segma snap to make the strap more low-profile, I would make the belt loop less wide, and I would do more stitching in strategic places. I really like the ride with this sheath, and I think I did alright with the tooling and stamping. But its edges are horrid. Now that I have a belt sander, edges are MUCH easier.

The GW sheath on the left is a refinement of the one on the right. It's much smaller in width but is almost an inch longer. It's very discreet and wears comfortably. Of course there are already some things I'd do differently on that one too, including a fold-over belt loop because the stitched-on loop makes me nervous. You'll note I got a little over-zealous with working the edge and at the very bottom of the sheath I accidentally ground into the stitching.

Just today I finished the Crash Rat sheath. Sometime I'll post pics of its back-side. I've got metal D-rings sewn on instead of a belt loop, to provide a variety of carry/lashing methods. It's a pretty minimal sheath, but it will allow me to carry or pack the Crash Rat without cutting myself now. :D

Man those are some sweet sheaths you made. I really like the ax sheath. I've been trying to get a sheath for my VTAC but am having no luck.

Awesome!

Very nice work mikeymoto! :)
