My new Grip. Thought I would experiment with some angles.

Cool pics! Great focus. To think mine once looked so smooth and unblemished... That first picture really draws my eye to the sharp point of the rear edge of the blade.

If you'd like some creative criticism, read on. Otherwise feel free to ignore me.
I like the second picture better, because you get to see more of the knife and it looks grreat standing up like it is. But I don't like the color of the desk/table it's standing on. If you had something lightish colored, but matte finish to put the knife on for this shot, it might draw more attention to the knife iteself. Also, maybe take two more shots with this setup: one with the focus on curve of the blade with a large aperture for a nice blurring of the rear of the knife, and another shot with a small aperture and longer exposure to get it all in focus.

Is that a lanyard on the end of the knife I see in the second shot? Might be cool to wrap that around and try getting it in that last small aperture shot!

Nice pics, crispy.

The 2nd one looks like it's flying by me.

Good info and advice from mikeymoto. I'll definitely keep it mind.

On the contrary, I appretiate creative crit. Specially when its from someone who sounds like he knows his stuff.

I didn't really plan the background to well, just used the kitchen table. I took these shots at night and the kitchen was the brightest room. I struggled with light anyway. When I disabled the falsh my camera insisted on shoot at 1/20 or 1/30 - had to rest the camera on the table to keep the pic crisp at those speeds.

That is a lanyard in the background - sharp eyes. Its more functional than decorative, so I kept it out of the way :o

Thanks for the comments. I'll try your suggestions and post some more. I think I'll try my Spyderfly next

Cool, I look forward to seeing more eye candy! Maybe some evening I'll get off my rear end and take some knife pics too. I'm no master photographer, but I do love pictures.
