A while back I started looking for a knife that I can use while working on site. Had to be light, rescue and EMT orientated. Did not want it to be bulky since the clothing I wear looks like a sleeping bag and a giant orange. It also needed to be opened and closed with gloves. So with winter coming..........I ended up ordering the Atlantic Salt.

So far with my Salt 1 I'm really liking the engineering that went into it. One minor pro/con depending on the clothes and conditions it's being used with is the clip, or rather the agressive volcano texture and clip working together. The retention in pocket is excellent regardless of how thin the material is, if you're doing waterskiing or diving it's excellent. If you're going to be taking it in and out of a regular pants pocket often it might be rough on the seams, and sometimes it's a little difficult to get back in. Part of that is thumb ramp jimping, also the best gripping I've seen on bare skin (better than the paramilitary 2's)

Yeah, this looks like a pretty good knife. I have the Pacific Salt and been a great knife except I'm now wanting something a little smaller. I'm leaning more towards the Salt 1 so far but now the Saver Salt is starting too look like a good choice too
