I've had quite a few consecutive days in the shop the last couple weeks and had the opportunity to forge and finish a few blades. The first is a chopper that I worked on between heats of the other blades. I have fun forging blades to shape and this one was no exception. The other three were ordered from a friend of mine. Any and all comments welcomed.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!!
Mike

you make a great looking knife, Mike, and you teach your students well. They obviously have a great deal of respect for you. It can be seen in the knives:cool:

Thanks Lorien for the kind words. For me it's an honor to be able to provide opportunities for these boys to learn. It is my hope that they will be the teachers one day. I know it will happen and that excited me. Thank you for your encouraging words.

Thanks John, that thing eats wood like crazy.

^^^Coop - that caught my eye as well. Great lines overall, but the transition from guard to handle is particularly pleasing.

Nice work! The chopper is super cool, and I love the handle and pin on the little hunter.

Thanks Coop and Eli,
I have to give credit to Burt Foster for showing me some cool techniques. I'm glad you appreciate the details of this piece. It's something I'm trying to improve on every time.
