Well, I recall reading about the Northwoods Indian River knife & how nice it looked. I've had mine for a week or so now & thought I'd post some pics & my opinions.
It's said to be made by GEC & that is surprising in that it's slim. It just doesn't have that GEC overbuiltness, but F&F is excellent. It doesn't look like a GEC, but it's very well built.
3 5/8" with a flat grind 2.5" Spear-point blade in 1095. Handles are in ebony wood. It carries very well in the pocket, as expected, & the handle size is an ideal combination of comfort & pocketability.
In short, I like it.
The other knives that came in recently are a '79 Case mini-Trapper with Clip & Pen blade, a GEC Northfield Congress with burnt stag handles, & a Canal Street Hawbaker.
The Hawbaker is their modified version of a Muskrat. Handles are stag & blade steel is Latrobe's 14-4CrMO, which, from what I understand, is their version of ATS-34/154CM. It's 4" & the Clip & Sheepsfoot blades are each just under 3".
I certainly can not complain about them. F&F is excellent on all 3.
