Since I discovered the quality and price of the OKC Rat knives, I have decided to add them to my collecting addiction. Man, these suckers are nice. I can't afford to collect high dollar knives and I am very happy to see such quality in this price range. So far, 6 Rat 1's and a Rat-3. I decided I would add lanyards to all the Rat knives. Yep, the pic shows that I am short 2 lanyards on the Rat 1's. Now for the Rat-2, Rat-5, Rat-7, Spring assisted Rats, different color handles. I think I am going to have to get some OKC Utilitacs also. I am a very sick old man. LOL. Sure is a great pastime though.

Unfortunately the illness is terminal when it comes to bank accounts. I am willing to bet it only gets worse from here on out.

Hey GUNNER63755 you made it into Blade magazine. March 2017 issue page 6 (Webchatter) has re-printed one of your posts. Congratulations!

Wow. That is cool. Thanks for giving me a heads up. I guess I need to subscribe to Blade. Hard item to find in the local stores here. Anybody got that issue for sale? Mike in Missouri.

My OKC "Collection" are working blades, already though relatives depleted some of my RD6s and an SP-53. :D My brother is eyeing one of my SP-51s...
My RDs 4-9 worked well this hunting season. The 4 I used for skinning deer and hacking the limbs off when it was freezing to much and nicked the blade on heavy bone but it sharpened out ok. For some reason the local deer got heavier bones in the past few years, my guess is the Virginian Arboreal white tail variant is making a come back after all them wimpy southern deer keep dying in the winters after they move in the area. All deer this year me or my brother used an SP-51 to get through the dang rib cage after hacking a path out in the blow down areas they ran in to. The old reliable hunting knives just literally can't cut that job recently! Yes the SP-51 was a bit hot knife through butter but it worked great! And it was getting dark and cold and we had to drag that thing a ways yet! (My sister really really long term borrowed one of two SP-53s for her trail venting on them tyrannical botanicals!) With an OKC knife what ever one I take, it does the job I use it for, even if its not ideal for it.
