i havent bought much in the way of infi lately. :(


but i did score a punkin gw in skunk's ganza, and bought my first granfors bruks, a camp hatchet.

also, recently bought this defender, my first colt. my agency recently authorized on duty carry of 1911's, so bought it for off duty use.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ME!!!!!!!!:p:p

it was down to the kimber cdp compact and this colt. i chose the colt because:

1. its a colt.
2. hammer forged versus cast parts
3. colt's aren't so easy to come by in california. this was the only one in the system.
4. i could sell it if i hated it and get back nearly all my money.


after about 500 rounds, i love it!!! not nearly as jumpy as i had anticipated. the hogues, which i am not a fan of, feel great with this little guy.

i had two malfunctions. both were stovepiped live rounds with an empty chamber. :confused: both were within the first 50 rounds.

i dehorned it a bit. the edges were almost as sharp as the gw!!! my right thumb got pretty torn up by the thumb safety catch. a little sandpaper and a buffing wheel and problem solved.

i do plan on adding a wilson combat ambi safety. the colt one is tiny. mabye a larger beavertail and night sights as well.


i know, i know. i could have gotten all that on the stock kimber.

but then i wouldnt have a COLT. :D

Those are little beauties! Maybe I should start with a GW then move up to the Badger Attack. What does one do!!!! Thanks for the pics. Morimotom, is your #28 Badger satin finish?

M- Great pics! I envy the Colt. ;)

Lycosa- You need both! ;) The Game Warden is a great EDC, though I'm a bit more partial to the Active Duty in that role. The BATAC is a great all-around blade. Aaaahhh... the allure of INFI! Of course, if you wait out the "two weeks," we should be seeing direct-from-Busse Combat Grade Anniversary Steel Heart 1's. Decisions, decisions.
 
Thanks Paddling Man. I think I'll wait although it would be nice to get a GW right NOW. The INFI is calling me. It's funny, I've looked Busses before and noth'n happened but now I can't stop thinking about 'em!
