Picked up this BWM the other day and got the new stock for my PTR91. A pain the scope mount didn't work but I'm used to irons anyway.

Cool blade, and you can use the stock of your PTR to tendorize your steaks--It will your shoulder!
 
I love it. Only put around 100 rnds though it but there were no jams. It throws brass way out there and kicks like a mule. The new stock does actually look like a meat tenderizer. Most people consider the JLD to be superior to the HK91.

This is an older metal lower, I think the plastic lower models should be as good, but I havn't shot one yet.
 
By the way that shotgun is an old Elgin Arms. Almost 100 years old, still great at taking doves and squirrels.

My PTR should be delivered this week. I don't suppose you would have any more pics to tide me over? :D

It was a tough decision between the PTR and a FAL. I ended up with the PTR. I've always wanted a G3.
 
I'm slightly jealous of you Americans ... I can't own a FAL or a G3 or their variants here in Canada. I've got a couple of M1A clones and could get an AR-10 if I wanted, but I've always wanted a FAL. I guess no one ever claimed our ridiculous victim disarmament laws made sense. :mad: :(

At least I can, and eventually will, own a Bushwacker Mistress! :D Nice guns and knife, rover. :thumbup:
 
Very nice. The 91 is my favorite platform.

The BWM goes with it nicely.

FWIW, I've had luck mounting the scope mount when the rifle is firmliy viced with a soft pad support.
 
PTR 91, never had a chance to play with one of those yet. I did sell my 91 last week for $4,000.. Is the PTR91's action as smooth as a real HK? for the price, they seem like a good deal.
Nice looking blade too!
 
I picked up my PTR-91 yesterday. Haven't shot it, but the fit and finish looks better than my friends HK91.
 
Century Arms is making basically an HK 93 with two 40 rd mags for around $699, if it works, it will be an incredible deal. Busse's and fine weaponry... what a combo, it would be my guess that most HOGS are users of fine weaponry and blades.
 
My shooting buddy got a ptr with the heavy target short barrel. We went to the range got sighted in shot at 100yrds. Het shot one shot bullseye, he handed the rifle to me I shot one shot cut his bullet hole in half. His ptr is highly accurate it just needs a better trigger. My take on this rifle is other than not having a chrome lined or hammer forged barrel like the HK-91. Its well worth the $$ and I give it a :thumbup: :thumbup: up.

I wouldn't give a hundred for one. A vast number of problems with them. A few won't even take the HK91 mags.
